How to play & support

Move. Aim. Forecast. Cast.

Everything needed to take the company from First Light to the Crowned Encore.

The four-step turn

01

Arrange

Drag figurines among the eight brass stage marks. One figurine can occupy each mark.

02

Aim

Slide the footlight horizontally. The colored polygons are the exact attack areas.

03

Read the forecast

Badges show health damage, Ward damage, breaks, and Push before you cast.

04

Cast

Every shadow fires together. Surviving shades then advance toward the dotted breach line.

Combat glossary

What the numbers mean

HP

An enemy’s health. Reduce it to zero before that shade reaches the frame.

Ward

Protective armor. Damage removes Ward point-for-point before any remainder reduces HP. Ward does not regenerate.

Push

Knockback from the Mountain Guard. It moves a surviving target away from the breach line before that target advances.

Integrity

Your frame’s health, shown as diamonds. Breaching shades remove Integrity; reaching zero ends the performance.

Repair

Restores lost Integrity up to the current maximum. Reinforced Frame also raises that maximum for the run.

Eclipse

Two or more figurines striking the same target in one cast. The overlap adds bonus damage.

Common questions

Progress and troubleshooting

How is progress saved?

The game autosaves every accepted move, lamp change, cast, and reward choice. Choose Save and return home during a run, then use Continue Performance later.

What is Daily Shadow?

It is a five-act challenge generated from the current UTC date. The same date and app version produce the same layout without contacting a server.

Can I play offline?

Yes. Opening Night, Daily Shadow, saves, scores, and settings work without a developer account or internet connection.

How do I erase my data?

Open Settings and choose Reset all progress, then confirm. You can also remove all app data by deleting the app from the device.

The board feels cramped. What should I try?

Shadowbox Tactics supports portrait and landscape orientations. Rotate the device, and keep Display Zoom or text size at a comfortable setting. The stage preserves its geometry while controls remain accessible.

What accessibility support is included?

Figurines and the footlight expose adjustable VoiceOver controls. Enemy labels announce health, Ward, predicted damage, and Push. Core animations respect Reduce Motion.
